Community Guidelines
SeniorsUnited is a community of Americans working together to protect Social Security, Medicare, and other vital programs. To maintain a respectful and effective advocacy environment, we ask all members to follow these guidelines.
Our Values
- Respect: Treat all community members with dignity
- Honesty: Share accurate information and personal experiences
- Inclusion: Welcome diverse perspectives and backgrounds
- Focus: Stay on topic and constructive
Expected Behavior
Be Respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, name-calling, and harassment are not tolerated. Remember that we're all working toward the same goal of protecting seniors' interests.
Stay On Topic
Keep discussions focused on issues affecting seniors and related advocacy. Off-topic posts may be removed to maintain the community's effectiveness.
Be Truthful
Share accurate information. If you're unsure about something, say so. Misinformation undermines our collective credibility.
Protect Privacy
Don't share personal information about other members without their consent. Respect confidentiality when discussing sensitive topics.

The following are not permitted on SeniorsUnited:
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics

- Spam, scams, or commercial solicitations
- Illegal content or activities
- Impersonation of other members or officials
- Sharing others' private information (doxxing)
- Pornographic or excessively violent content
Political Discourse
SeniorsUnited is nonpartisan. While discussing policy is encouraged:
- Focus on issues, not political parties
- Avoid partisan attacks or campaigning
- Respect that members hold diverse political views
- Evaluate legislation based on its impact on seniors, not party affiliation

- Remove content that violates these guidelines
